In late 1941
The land of the Rising Sun
Kamikazed idle navy
Sleepy harbour did succumb
Unwittingly unclasped dark pearls of destiny
That scientists restrung with cruel plutonium
A quick test at Trinity, then to Nagasaki flung
Where mushroom cloud proclaimed
America has won
Accept their victory
They own the Rising Sun
Ashes swirled through hot city
An atomic age begun
Scorched beaches of Bikini
Gangbanged to kingdom come
Warfare counterbalanced
By Kilo and Megaton
Mantle clocks
Of hydrogen
Tall grandfathers
Of neutron
Tick without pity
Without mortality
Question sanity
Poised
To come undone
