GLACIER'S KISS
I took a walk along the shore of Lake Erie on the first warm day after a week of brutal cold.
The ice formations drew the whole town out to explore their beauty. You could literally feel the sunlight laughing.

OWL FEATHER SOAP
A fun little bit of lather, written to amuse those who miss the humour of Shel Silverstein.
He used this humour to teach children, as well as to amuse them.

ET TU EL NINO?
Media attention to melanoma, sunscreen, forestfires, and all else related to the effects of heatwaves turned
El Nino into an instant celebrity. Global warming is an issue that, though well documented, still waits to be properly
addressed.
DREAMLIKE
There are marvels to observe and consider in every backyard.
Sometimes visiting a distant place can create an overload on the senses, but this is not necessarily a bad thing.

LIEUTENANT STINK
A garbage strike staged during the peak of a sizzling summer inspired this tale of a failed
coup de garage. It's tough when B.O. is your best weapon.

THE HERON
Inspired by a pleasant walk on a Florida beach away from the usual rigors of the work-a-day
world. As the following events unfolded, the body language of this remarkable heron spoke volumes.
NEON ORANGE
There is no other colour that compares. Though less obvious than red, it is often just
as lethal. Every culture has admired and acknowledged its subtle potence.

BENEATH THE FADING NAME
Another tale inspired by an afternoon hike with some friends. This time the imagined
kiss was warmer and softer. Perhaps bordering on a touch rubbery.
